From couch to mat. What do you need to know? There is so much information available online and so many different styles of yoga that it is easy to become overwhelmed. It is my intention to cut through some of the propaganda and demystify this practice. Yoga is available to everyone. My classes are suitable to anyone starting yoga for the first time and I am happy to talk you through any concerns you may have.
There is no need for flexibility, strength or to follow any particular spirituality. All that is required is a willingness to learn, listen and turn up with an open mind. In return you will feel physical and mental benefits that don’t just end after class but that stay with you in your everyday lives.
The only recommendations I make before joining a ‘Sanatan Yoga’ class are :
- Wait at least two hours after eating a heavy meal before joining a class.
- Wait at least an hour and a half after having a light snack before joining a class.
- Wear appropriate clothing. Loose fitting is fine for men but tighter clothes for the ladies.
- Please refrain from using any mind altering substances before a class including alcohol.
See it was easy. See you in class.
