In the ancient language of Sanskrit, Sanatan means eternal. Yoga is union; describing the union with the divine and with our inner most selves. Through the practice of Yoga we dissolve the artificial boundaries that limit our awareness and consciousness, opening us up to the life and a better understanding of our true nature. Yoga is not a religion but a discipline practiced through asana (physical posture), meditation, study, devotion and voluntary service.
As with all living philosophies, Yoga has evolved and has as many interpretations as there are practitioners. The mission of ‘Sanatan Yoga’ is to return to this ancient discipline. The classes are not just a work out for the body, but offer a holistic practice for mind, body and spirit.
